We are currently looking for a Health and Safety (H&S) Officer to support the National H&S Lead. This post will be home based. Hours of work: 35 hours per week, hours can be worked flexibly across the week but will need to meet team requirements. Who We Are Looking For Under the direction of the National Lead for Health and Safety the post holder will assist the collation and distribution of data, information and guidance regarding H&S practice across the organisation. You may be required to support the wider Assurance and Compliance team in the delivery of projects and initiatives, as required. You will have excellent IT skills, including excel and word, demonstrate good communications (verbal and written), negotiation and problem-solving skills. You will have your NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent and be committed to maintaining your CPD. Experience in health and safety in the care sector, including the ability to analyse and understand auditing processes would be an advantage. The role requires you to be able to prioritise your own workload and work to tight deadlines; to be pro-active and to take the initiative when required, in particular to develop and improve systems and processes within a changing environment. Previous experience of working within an administrative environment, including audit activities, experience of using bespoke reporting and data management systems and a knowledge of the Charity sector would be an advantage.
