The post is situated within the community directorate with the main base being the Greenfields Centre in Tunstall. The role includes both direct and indirect components, with the central focus being to support the development of resources which will enable the effective implementation of clinical pathways within the 4 adult community mental health teams. You will work closely with a Consultant Clinical Psychologist, the wider MDT, and service users to co-produce and develop psychologically informed materials, such as pathway leaflets, therapy booklets and user-friendly session guides. You will be involved in supporting staff members to make best use of the resources developed. The role includes evaluation of the clinical pathways and therefore skills in using Microsoft Excel and knowledge of evaluation methods would be valued. In addition, you will also produce and disseminate pathway information to colleagues within other teams, to shape electronic recording systems and support referrers. The nature of this work will require you to have excellent communication skills, as well as to be creative and use your own initiative. Skills in multimedia software, Microsoft PowerPoint and Publisher would be as asset. Initially for 1 day week, there will be a clinical facing component to the role which will be based at the Lyme Brook Centre, Newcastle-under-Lyme. In this time, you will deliver a skills-based group alongside team colleagues and be involved in clinical tasks related to the effective delivery of the group. The balance of clinical and development type work is likely to vary depending on the needs of the service at different times.
