Fixed term posts are available for 6 or 12 months. Dental graduates with experience in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at DCT or DFT level or Medical Graduates and dual qualified (medical & dental graduates) are encouraged to apply. Candidates must have hospital experience within a surgical speciality at FY2, DCT or CT level. The post is aimed at someone who wants to pursue a career in surgery. The successful candidate will need to be available to start as soon as possible upon completion of pre-employment checks. This is a varied and interesting job in which the post holder will take part in theatre sessions outpatient clinics and minor oral surgery under local anaesthetic. The post holder will also be expected to assist in the day-to-day care of patients on the ward. This will entail some clerking, preparation of operating lists and attendance on the daily ward round.
