You will be joining the team responsible for the administration processes to support the management of the rotas for Doctors across Theatres, Anaesthetics & Critical Care. It is essential that this work is carried out accurately and efficiently. Excellent administration and communication skills are vital. You will regularly be required to deal with queries from internal and external colleagues. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to work well under pressure, to prioritise the demands of a busy office, and manage their time and workload effectively. Although your work will be guided you must be able to work unsupervised, using your own initiative and able to respond quickly and efficiently. In the event of annual leave or sickness, cross-site help may be required at Scarborough Hospital. Transport will be provided. You will be responsible for typing clinical and administrative letters, answering telephone enquiries, as well as general administrative tasks. Communicates with a range of contacts, for example, staff from other Departments and external clients, concerning both routine and complex information, some of which may be confidential. Participate in weekly Theatre Planning Meetings and take and distribute relevant Minutes of Meetings. Ensure that both Trust and local Policies and Procedures are followed as necessary to own work and may be required to comment/provide input to, the development of work processes relative to own area of activity.
