Our Manchester service thrives as a dynamic and collaborative team, featuring a dedicated staff including a service manager, consultant psychiatrists, medical professionals, caring nurses, attentive healthcare assistants, empathetic recovery staff, dedicated volunteers, efficient administrators, and supportive peer mentors. Location Manchester (based in one of our buildings Carnarvon Street, Bradnor, Zion Centre, Phoenix Mill, and Mustard Tree) Hours Full-time (37.5 hours per week) Salary £24,466.99 - £26,110.87 dependent on experience About Us Our Manchester service offers vital support to individuals facing substance misuse issues. Our goal is empowerment through tailored support and holistic treatment. Our aim is to empower individuals by offering comprehensive support and tailored treatment. This includes both one-to-one and group sessions, as well as medical interventions. The Role As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a central role in our Manchester services. Your responsibilities will include Collaborating closely with your Nursing team to develop care pathways. Supporting service users in opiate and alcohol interventions. Leading harm reduction interventions and conducting physical and mental health assessments. Keeping the people who use our services at the heart of everything you do. Undertaking phlebotomy and ensuring vaccine storage adheres to health guidelines (training will be provided). About You To excel in this role, you should possess Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to work flexibly as part of a team. Experience in substance misuse or social care (advantageous but not essential). A clear understanding of the need for and the ability to deliver quality services. Good organisational skills and confidence to work independently and as part of a team. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Flexibility to respond to the demands of the post.
