You will join our friendly, collaborative and multidisciplinary team. The role demands experience of independent working, excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to interact with a range of disciplines along with excellent patient communication. You will be expected to work as part of the admin team The Nuclear Medicine service at MFT operates over three sites providing services for the population of Manchester. Combined, the service covers 7 gamma cameras (5 SPECT-CT), spread over 3 sites, a PET-CT scanner, and provides non-imaging studies and therapeutic radioiodine treatments for benign disease. You will be part of a dedicated team of 6 admin and clerical colleagues, responsible for the booking and scheduling tasks within Nuclear Medicine for the trust. This role will consist of a broad range of duties and responsibilities, covering areas including: Booking and scheduling patients for their scans Communicating with clinical teams to clarify referral details Ensuring scan results are communicated to referrers Ensuring patients are aware of their scans and any preparation required prior to arrival Covering the reception desk during the evening (and from time to time during the day) Ensuring the safety of patients and relatives in the reception area and calling for assistance as required The department operates a 12 hour day, Monday to Thursday and the shift pattern requires working in the evenings on these days.
