We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included. NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week. The shift pattern for this position is Monday – Friday, 08.30 – 16.30 This is a permanent full time post and is an exciting opportunity for appropriately qualified and enthusiastic applicants to join the Business Support Team within North West Locality and carry out role of Clerical Officer/Receptionist while being spilt between peripatetic across North West Sector during morning shift and based at Drumchapel Health Centre/NW Sector for afternoon shift. The post holder will support services to include Main Reception, and will be first point of contact for visitors and enable effective service and communication within Health Centre. Applicants will demonstrate good communication and organisational skills and ability to work without direct supervision. Applicants may be required on occasion to cover afternoon post in event of leave at short notice. Daily workload will be varied and interesting with a range of administrative tasks as outlined in the Job Description and delegated by Senior Business Support Assistant and wider Team. This will include first point of contact for making appointments for Treatment Rooms across Glasgow city. Knowledge of Microsoft Packages is essential and experience of working with EMIS, PECOS systems desirable.
