Job description Job responsibilities The post holder will be responsible for actively contributing to the continuing development of the ophthalmic nursing role within the Adnexal Outpatient Clinic. They will carry out the post surgical assessment and intervention in our post-op and telephone clinic, provide specialist ophthalmic nursing advice and clinical discharge undertake specialist nursing procedures ensuring that all patients receive the highest standards of care. After training and supervision, they will be given the opportunity the opportunity to participate in independent management of designated patients as an Adnexal Nurse Practitioner. The post holder will provide supervision to junior staff, students and may undertake research, lead clinical audits in own specialist area. They are responsible for ensuring the safety and wellbeing of patients at all times and will always work in a manner that promotes dignity and human rights through the adoption of person-centred care principles.
