Health and Social Care in Highland provides help and assistance in many situations arising due to illness, disability, old age or poverty. This post is responsible for leading a team to support vulnerable adults in a residential setting and to contribute to the movement and treatment of clients to maximise their physical comfort. You must have the ability to work as part of a team or on your own initiative, follow instructions and possess good communication skills. You must also be able to respond constructively to unpredictable situations and able to cope under pressure. In order to be able to carry out the duties of this post effectively and safely, candidates should be able to provide evidence of a good basic education, good written communication and report writing skills. Applicants should have experience of working with people in a care setting with a minimum of SVQ 2 in Social Care or equivalent. Also with a commitment to achieve SVQ3 in Social Care or equivalent plus have or to be prepared to undertake Administration of Medication training. We can offer a friendly and supportive working environment with ongoing training. This is a permanent part-time post of 18.6 hours working 4.04pm – 10pm shift 4 days on 4 days off or in line with service requirements.
