We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included. The shift pattern for this position is 37 hours over 7 days, as per NHS rostering policy. The Enhanced Drug Treatment Service (EDTS) is an exciting development within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and the first in Scotland. Located in Glasgow city centre, this service aims to engage and improve outcomes for a population of complex needs drug users who have not benefited from other treatments. The service is delivered by a multi-disciplinary specialist team in a bespoke clinical environment. This role will be both exciting and challenging and we are looking for a professional, highly motivated, confident and organised individual to play a key role as part of the EDTS pharmacy team. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person to develop their existing skills with the full support of the wider management structure gaining the necessary experience to achieve success as a key member of this specialist clinical service. This post is available on a full time basis and requires an individual with the ability to participate in a 7 day flexible rota, covering weekends, bank holidays and providing emergency cover when necessary. Any previous experience of this type of service delivery would be viewed as desirable but not essential. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
