This varied secretarial role will support two Cardiology Consultants with communication, administrative and secretarial tasks. The postholder will also provide key support to our patients by assisting with their queries, concerns and engaging with the wider clinical team and other key stakeholders. Typing of clinics and general correspondence, complex diary management and provision of patient data. Dealing with correspondence from patients, GPs and other sources, including the scheduling of appointments, to ensure referral to treatment targets are met. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, and relevant secretarial/admin experience. Together with proficient typing skills, particularly in audiotyping and have experience of digital dictation. Knowledge of medical terminology would be advantageous. To be successful in the post you must be well organised, able to prioritise your own workload in a fast-paced environment and work independently to meet strict deadlines.
