All posts are 10 PA NHS appointments based at Homerton University Hospital and the successful appointees will join the existing team of 13 (11 WTE) substantive consultants. The neonatal unit is one of the busiest Level 3 units in London and the neonatal consultant team at Homerton University Hospital has always been actively involved in high quality research and innovation. The appointees would be expected to deliver 8 PAs of direct clinical care activity and will have 2 PAs for supporting professional activities (SPA) such as teaching and training, management, audit, governance, and research. DCC activities will include attending cover for the various areas of the service including NICU, SCBU, and Consultant cover for Labour Ward, TC and Postnatal Wards. Out-patient clinics are currently led by the consultant covering PNW. The postholder will participate in the on-call and weekend Consultant rota fully. There will be scope for the postholder to develop in an area of interest and opportunity to take a lead role for areas of work, depending on thepostholder's interest and in line with service needs and development.
