The National Autism Implementation Team [NAIT] secured funding for the Adult Neurodevelopmental Service for a one year fixed term post. It was agreed an Assistant Psychologist post would support service development. The Adult Neurodevelopmental Service is pan Lanarkshire service, based on the Kirklands site. It is in the first stage of service development focused on providing Autism Diagnostic Assessments for adults. The Post Holder Will Receive weekly professional clinical supervision and support with the Consultant Clinical Psychologist Support the clinical work of the team by undertaking observations and case note reviews. Work as part of a multidisciplinary specialist neurodevelopmental team. Undertake evidence based literature searches that will assist the diagnostic clinicians in the identifications of evidence based diagnostic supports. Contribute to service objectives to meet national targets and ongoing service development. Participate in research and audit within the service. Link in with third sector organisations gathering views and opinions of neurodivergent people. Undertake professional development appropriate to the role within the Adult Neurodevelopmental Service. They must be eligible for the Graduate Basis for Chartership of the British Psychological Society (GBC) They must hold a driving licence and have access to transport. They must have a high level of computer skills and knowledge of programmes and statistical packages. The post-holder should have had experience of relevant paid/voluntary work. It would be great if you also have Additional postgraduate training / qualification in human service particularly relating to work in mental health services. Experience working with people with mental health needs Involvement in clinical research Experience of using statistical packages in a work setting via research Ability to use a variety of computer applications including statistical analysis packages, spreadsheets, databases and word processors in support of clinical and professional activities. Contract type Fixed Term or Secondment for 12 months Full time 37 hours Please note this is a fixed term post for 12 months. Where a post only has temporary funding and an existing member of NHS Lanarkshire staff wishes to apply, this will be treated as a secondment. The employee MUST already have written agreement from their line manager to be released on a secondment before applying for the post.
