Included within this will be assistance with the navigation of the patient pathway and investigations for all patients as well as those who are under nurse led active surveillance. You will have regular contact with people affected by cancer. This will include support and signposting of patients both face to face and via telephone to ensure effective progress along care pathways in liaison with other colleagues and departments in the hospital. We are delighted to offer the opportunity for a Cancer Support Worker to join our team to work alongside the Breast Clinical Nurse Specialist team. This Band 4 role will be based at St Albans but will require travel to other hospital sites. We are looking for a candidate who is enthusiastic and articulate with excellent communication and organisational skills.
