This position operates on a rota basis to ensure comprehensive coverage and flexibility for both the clients and the caregiver. Responsibilities: Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing. Support with mobility assistance, including transferring and positioning the clients safely. Administer medication according to prescribed schedules and document accurately. Prepare and serve nutritious meals, considering any dietary restrictions or preferences. Perform light housekeeping duties, including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a tidy living environment. Provide companionship and engage in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being. Monitor and report any changes in the clients' health or behaviour to the appropriate healthcare professionals or family members. Foster a supportive and respectful relationship with the clients and their family members, ensuring confidentiality and dignity at all times. Adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain infection control practices to minimise risks to clients and oneself. Personal Skills And Qualifications Level 2 Health and Social Care qualification essential Previous experience in caregiving or a related field. Compassionate and empathetic. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, demonstrating reliability and flexibility in scheduling. Basic understanding of health and safety procedures and willingness to undergo relevant training. Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle preferred, but not essential.
