What we'll need you to bring Knowledge of catering standards and related procedures. Required to undertake on the job training and induction (this will generally take 4-6 weeks, depending on hours/days worked), to achieve full competency across a range of duties. Working knowledge Health &amp; Safety including participation in risk assessing individual tasks Required to undertake Prevention, Assessment &amp; Management of Violence of Aggression (PaMOVA) training level 1 and level 2, if identified following an appropriate risk assessment Undertake NHS Lanarkshire compulsory training Undertake mandatory Health Care Support Workers (HCSW) standards Undertake and complete NHSS Catering Services Workbook. Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to carry out assigned tasks effectively in a busy environment Required to obtain the Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate. Working knowledge of basic information technology It would be great if you also have SVQ or relevant qualification Work experience in a catering environment Knowledge of catering systems and processes i.e. HACCP; manual handling; management of aggression; infection control; COSHH; fire safety; cash handling and reconciliation Remain calm when under pressure Flexible attitude and willing to learn Shift patterns Contract type Permanent Part Time 35 hours Please note this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.
