Provision of supervision of junior medical staff. Participate in the postgraduate and undergraduate teaching programme. Participate in clinical governance issues, which include medical audit and research. Participate in the consultant of the week system for general paediatrics at a frequency of 1:8 weeks. Participate in the consultant of the week system for Neonatal unit, 4 / year Provide on call off-site Consultant cover 1:9 frequency Contribute to safeguarding rota one day a month This is a substantive consultant paediatrician post, become available due to reduced sessions within the existing team. This is a traditional consultant post with no contribution to Tier 2 rota. The post-holder would be part of a team of 9 consultants providing paediatric and neonatal care in PCH and 2 community paediatricians. Neonatal experience required to support on-site neonatal services. Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply. Interview Date: November 21st 2024 This is a replacement 8 session post offering 6 sessions DCC and up to 2 SPA sessions. The post holder will be based at PCH. "}
