Lansdowne Secure Children's Home has the ambition to be one of the leading Secure Children's Homes in the UK and we're looking for Care Planning Practitioners who have the passion to achieve this with us! At present the home is rated Good by Ofsted and undergoing a temporary unforced closure whilst we carry out an ambitious project to relaunch as a centre of excellence in the new year. In this role, you will work as part of a dedicated, supportive multi-disciplinary team, taking a lead on care planning, intervention and resettlement for children placed at Lansdowne Secure Children's home. You'll work with colleagues from our in-house care, education and health teams to smooth pathways, ensure that children feel heard, that they understand their plans and that they are positive about their future. You will support others to connect theory and learning into their day-to-day practice and targeted work with the young people. We're looking for candidates who are organised, self-motivated, resilient and who have a real passion and desire to work with vulnerable young people. You must have experience of working with older children and a sound understanding of the challenges experienced by children in care or in secure environments. You will be a creative thinker who is able to manage difficult conversations. Experience working in high pressure situations will be an advantage. You will need to good digital skills to support the care planning and systems in place.
