Our community clinics are based locally in GP surgeries,or mobile units. Thisallows us to see patients more locally in the community for their appointments, making their appointments accessible for them.As an Optical Assistant,in a community clinic,the successful candidatewill independently run your own clinics by performing diagnostic tests on the patients, providing high quality, easily accessible ophthalmology care in the area. Our diagnostic tests include, 2D and 3D scans of the back of the eye, taking measurements of the eye pressure, checking patients peripheral visions, and checking their visions on the reading charts. The successful candidate will have full training with our clinical team on all aspects of the role. Please note, this role is working across the Redditch and Droitwich site. You will be required to cover both sites across your 5 working days. Main duties of the job Independently run pre- and post-operative diagnostic clinics Support patients throughout their journey with CHEC and report any concerns.
