The post holder will be an effective leader and role model working flexibly as a member of the care team to provide regular direct clinical care, whilst supporting the implementation of both clinical and non-clinical governance. The post holder will also support the Ward Manager to ensure the standards of care are being maintained and evaluated, and strive to deliver improved patient outcomes and experience. The post holder will work collaboratively with the Ward Manager, nursing workforce, wider multi-disciplinary team and outside agencies to develop and maintaing excellent standards of patient care. There is the expectation that the post holder will support the Ward Manager in utilising effective rostering to ensure safe staffing levels and to assist in managing attendance protocols. The successful candidate will work to coordinate admissions and discharges within B5 and collaboratively across the Nephrology and Transplant Directorate to facilitate safe and appropriate patient flow. The post holder will also participate in the values based appraisal process and use this process to identify and implement education and training opportunities to support for staff to assist with professional development. The post holder will also be instrumental in supporting the Ward Manager to develop and provide a supportive and compassionate team culture that embodies the expected values and behaviours of Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply. "}
