This post will be based both at Singleton Hospital and on our DXA mobile unit in Hywel Dda. Nuclear Medicine is a highly specialized service providing Radiopharmaceuticals, Diagnostic Investigations, Radionuclide Therapy, PET/CT and DXA scans to patients of Local Health Boards in the South West Wales Area. Within this service the post holder will be part of a highly skilled team involved in the provision of the diagnostic and DXA service in South West Wales, providing support to the Healthcare Scientists in the provision of the Nuclear Medicine DXA services. The post-holder will be the initial contact in the patient journey within Nuclear Medicine. The post holder will be expected to liaise with technical, nursing staff and patients to deliver an efficient nuclear medicine service. They will be expected to manage the entry of patient data onto specific databases, maintaining patient confidentiality at all times. To work strictly within the context of their duties and to undertake reasonable and relevant duties as may be considered necessary by the Clinical Team Manager and the Head of Nuclear Medicine.
