The overall purpose of the Lead Nurse role is to provide effective and accessible leadership to the radiology nursing and radiography assistant teams so ensuring the highest standards of safe patient care during Diagnostic Imaging investigations and procedures. Management of the Radiology nurses team, overseeing the clinically safe running of the Radiology service and procedures. Working with service leads to develop the Radiology and interventional service, working towards a Radiology Day Case Unit. The Radiology Department at Dorset County Hospital is a progressive, patient focused department and is highly regarded by the clinical teams that use our services. The department is a busy district general hospital department providing CT, MRI, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, interventional radiology, symptomatic breast services and plain film and is also a friendly place to work with an excellent working relationship between all staff within the department regardless of position.
