Stroke Rehabilitation Unit- East Specialist Rehabilitation Centre Woodend Hospital Part-time position available @ 1 shift of 11.5 hours A fantastic opportunity have arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated individual with a genuine interest in Stroke Rehabilitation to join our specialised rehabilitation team. We are a 18 bedded unit that cares for both female and male patients whose age range is 16 upwards. Stroke rehabilitation Unit – West is just next door and they also have 18 beds. Our team within SRU is multi-disciplinary comprising of Nurses, OT’s, Physiotherapists, Speech/Language Therapists, Dieticians and Medical staff of which you will work closely with. We are also fortunate to have input from the Chest Heart and Stroke Nurses and Care Management. We take your development very seriously and offer a robust induction programme with opportunities to develop many differing skills in caring for people who have had a stroke. You will also have the opportunity to take forward your role in stroke specific subjects in order to improve your knowledge and care for your patients. The post covers one 11.5 hour shift which will be one day/night Monday – Sunday and the successful candidate will join a friendly, dynamic and evolving team. If you have good communication skills, an ability to plan and prioritise your workload, are committed to lifelong learning and your aim is to deliver robust patient centred care, we would love to hear from you.
