We are proud to support CESR training and are one of the first Trusts to have a CESR champion Main duties of the job The appointee will be responsible for the development of Care of the Elderly services along with their colleagues. The key objectives are to reduce number of unnecessary admissions, develop same day emergency care pathways for the frail elderly, reduce patient length stay and work with system partners to ensure safe discharge to appropriate places of residence. There will be a strong commitment to teaching Junior Staff the principles of management of elderly patients, this will occur as the opportunity arises on a day to day basis with acute patients, as well as dedicated teaching.
