There is participation from an acute medicine and elderly care colleague in this rota. Programmed activities This is a 10 PA contract based on the recommendations from the BMA . This is split into 8.5 PAs direct clinical care and 1.5 supporting PAs. Direct clinical care 8.5PAs on average per week (includes clinical activity, clinically related activity and predictable emergency work). Supporting professional activities 1.5 PAs on average per week (includes CPD, audit, teaching, appraisal) We would invite applicants who are looking to join an innovative and dynamic small team of stroke physicians to look after the second busiest stroke service in the Anglian region. It is specific to the Ipswich site. 7 day inpatient stroke rota ( hyperacute and acute care) - 28 inpatient beds Daily TIA clinics and weekly outpatient clinics reviewing new referrals and stroke follow ups Leading and developing the educational requirement of the stroke service There is the option to participate in additional activity including participating in the acute medicine on call rota, or as an alternative the regional telemedicine rota.
