If so, please consider the exciting opportunity of joining our passionate and supportive Homecare team as a Senior Pharmacy Technician, based at York Hospital but working in partnership with the multidisciplinary teams across the trust. We are looking to recruit a Senior Pharmacy Technician who is enthusiastic, self-motivated, and has excellent time management skills. The Homecare service provides a fantastic service to patients allowing them to receive and administer their medication at home. The candidate will be working with multidisciplinary teams in the trust and with Homecare providers so must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The candidate must be organised, have excellent attention to detail and must be able to work both independently and part of a team. The candidate must be able to adapt to the changing demands of the service. Applications are welcome from candidates interested in part time hours. Ideally a background in hospital pharmacy, but all applications are welcomed. Prescription management including completion of technician checking of the prescriptions Working with clinical teams to ensure a safe and efficient service is provided Dealing with queries from Homecare providers Implementing new Homecare services Allocation of tasks and rota planning Supervision of staff including completing appraisals, sickness absence reporting Review and implementation of SOPs Working closely with the Homecare and High-Cost Drug Manager to develop the service Implementing biosimilar switches for clinical services Supporting with audits and service improvements Working with multidisciplinary teams Our Benefits We offer a range of benefits to support our staff including: Access to the NHS Pension Scheme, providing generous benefits upon retirement, as well as a lump sum and pension for dependants 27 days holiday rising to 33 days (depending on NHS Trust service) A generous relocation package of up to 30% of salary (capped at £18k) to support with relocation expenses for hard to fill positions where relocation would be an expectation to undertake the role fully.
