The role requires a rotating schedule that includes long days, weekend on-call shifts, and night shifts every 8 weeks, with compensatory time off afterwards. You will receive the schedule for long days and night shifts before starting the job. An Early Pregnancy Assessment Clinic operates Monday to Friday at St Richards Hospital, which offers a range of day surgery and more complex open surgery, as well as teaching opportunities through MDMs, colposcopy, and outpatient hysteroscopy lists. University Hospitals Sussex provides access to a postgraduate education center with IT and library support, along with simulation training in low and high-fidelity sessions, laparoscopic simulation, and Ultrasound Scan Simulation (USS) at Chichester Medical Education Centre. Trainees are encouraged to conduct audits, projects, and publish articles, with experienced educational supervisors to support the use of eportfolios and WPBA tools.
