There is a dedicated in-house Consultant-led Neurosurgical teaching programme*, and successful applicants will be supported in their broader professional and career development, particularly with reference to attaining the MRCS examination. The successful candidate must be GMC registered with a license to practice and prior experience in Neurosurgery or a related discipline (Neurology/Acute Medicine/Critical Care) is welcomed. The successful candidate will work within a team providing neurosurgical care for neurosurgery in patients and conduct the daily ward round with them. Additional time within the weekly rota will be made available for attending theatre lists and outpatient clinics, depending upon the training requirements of the individual candidate. The post holder will participate in the ST 1-2 (SHO) on-call rota which is currently as a 1 in 11 full-shift on call which is fully compliant with EWTD.
