We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, hard-working, housekeeper who will work as an integral part of the team ensuring a clean, safe and comfortable environment at all times. You will need excellent interpersonal skills, as you will be liaising with and helping patients throughout the working day. You will also be required to communicate with all levels of staff both face to face and over the telephone. The post holder will be required to maintain stock levels and participate in the ordering of stock. You will also be required to maintain a high level of cleanliness within the ward. Applicants with previous experience in a health care setting are desirable, however you will need to demonstrate commitment to developing yourself to support the nursing team in caring for patients and ensuring the patient experience is positive. Main duties of the job Applicants must have excellent communication and organisational skills and be able to work under non-direct supervision, prioritising your own workload. We need someone with a flexible approach who will be able to respond appropriately to the demands of an ever changing workload. You will need excellent interpersonal skills, as you will be liaising with and helping patients throughout the working day. You will also be required to communicate with all levels of staff both face to face and over the telephone. The post holder will be required to maintain stock levels and participate in the ordering of stock. You will also be required to maintain a high level of cleanliness within the ward. Recent experience in cleaning duties and use of chemicals and equipment is essential along with an awareness of health and safety, as you will be working in a demanding environment. You are also required to be IT literate. Previous experience with stock control is desirable.
