The Pharmacy support worker role is a graded as a agenda for change Band 3 position, however linked progression from Band 2 – 3 will be considered. For those appointed at Band 2, the progression will be dependent on the demonstration of Band 3 criteria detailed in the Person Specification To work in a large licensed Aseptic facility that provides a wide range of products to Stockport NHS Trust and neighbouring trusts. The Pharmacy Support Worker will carry out the routine preparation of all aseptically prepared drugs in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practice. There is a requirement to carry out the technical skills necessary to perform these duties carefully and accurately, and to develop a conscientious attitude in order to provide a co-ordinated and effective service. The Pharmacy Support Worker will be required to undertake on the job training to develop the necessary competence, skills and knowledge to fulfil the job. Ideally we would like you to have some experience working in a hospital pharmacy, a hospital Aseptic production unit, equivalent commercial Aseptic compounding Unit. However people without Relevant Aseptic experience may be considered as full training will be given to the successful candidate. Students welcome to apply.
