2. What do you understand about the services provided by Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust, and how do you see yourself contributing to them?
3. How does your personal experience or previous work inform your understanding of mental health, particularly in relation to anxiety, depression, and psychosis?
4. What do you believe are the most important qualities or skills for a Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioner working with adults with severe mental health problems?
5. Can you discuss any experiences you have that prepared you for developing and practicing psychologically-informed interventions?
6. How do you approach building rapport with individuals experiencing mental health challenges?
7. Describe a situation where you had to work as part of a multidisciplinary team. What role did you play and what did you learn from the experience?
8. In your opinion, how important is collaboration in the care planning process for mental health services? Can you give an example of how you've effectively collaborated with others in previous roles?
9. This role includes a one-year training programme. How do you plan to balance your academic responsibilities with practical clinical work?
10. What are your expectations for professional development and training, and how do you envision this role helping you to achieve your career goals?
11. Birmingham has a culturally diverse population. How would you ensure that your practice is inclusive and sensitive to the needs of diverse communities?
12. Can you provide an example of how you’ve worked with or supported individuals from varied backgrounds in the past?
13. Given that this is a trainee position, what does progression to a permanent role mean to you, and how do you plan to maximise your learning during this training?
14. Mental health can be a challenging field. What strategies do you have for maintaining your own mental wellbeing and resilience in a support role?
15. Imagine you are working with a client who is reluctant to engage with support services. How would you approach this situation?
You can answer as many of these questions as you want. Good luck!
