A self-starter, you will have excellent organisational skills with a proven understanding of research management and governance. You will also be pragmatic and have proven ability to communicate effectively with senior clinicians, academic staff and other health service professionals to help deliver this challenging agenda within a dynamic multi-disciplinary environment. The post holder will be required to maintain a good working relationship and a high level of customer service with R & D teams and external stakeholders. We are looking for a candidate who understands sponsorship and feasibility projects. The potential candidate should be capable to negotiate and agree contractual (including liability and intellectual property clauses) and financial terms on commercial and non-commercial contracts with, senior research staff, pharmaceutical companies, Contract Research Organisations (CROs), with appropriate advice and guidance from legal professionals. The candidate should have the ability to identify the appropriate type of contract required for new and existing projects and to identify and reduce wherever possible any potential liabilities to the Trust under research and development connected contracts ensuring Principal and Chief Investigators are aware whenever possible of their responsibilities under the agreements and any contractual and/or financial terms relevant to their research.
