We can accommodate part time, full time or job share. If you have excellent communication skills and enjoy contact with people this is the job for you, working with the rest of the team to help make a difference. The role includes providing a patient facing service from reception for all patients whether over the phone or when the patient attends for appointments at the practice. Main duties include maintaining and monitoring the practice appointments system, processing personal and telephone requests for appointments, visits and telephone consultations and ensuring callers are directed to the appropriate healthcare professional, processing and distributing incoming (and outgoing) mail, taking messages and passing on information, filing and retrieving paperwork, processing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription queries in accordance with practice guidelines, initiating contact with and responding to requests from patients, other team member and associated healthcare agencies and providers, and providing assistance to practice staff.
