Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Finance Controller at ROC Clinic in Westhill. As a key member of the Management team, the Finance Controller will report to the CEO and will be the head of the accounting/ finance department. You will interact with various members of ROC, both senior and junior and you shall be accountable for the day-to-day operations of Finance Department. As a Financial Controller you are expected to be a motivated learner and have an analytical mind. You shall be responsible for directing ROC’ accounting functions. These functions include establishing and maintaining the organisation’s accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives. You shall prepare financial reports and present findings and recommendations to top management. The key objectives of the role are: 1. Accuracy and Reliability of Financial Reporting: This includes ensuring financial statements are accurate, complete, and compliant with all relevant regulations and accounting standards. You need to establish and maintain strong internal controls to prevent errors and fraud. 2. Effective Management of Financial Resources: This encompasses overseeing cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and investment decisions. You need optimise resource allocation to support ROC's strategic goals. 3. Compliance and Risk Management: Maintaining compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies is crucial. You shall identify and mitigate financial risks to safeguard the organisation's financial health and stability. Person Specification - Education: · Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field · Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) · CIMA, ICAEW or ACCA registered Person Specification - Education: · Minimum of 10 years of direct accounting experience, preferably in a healthcare setting, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role Person Specification - Skills and Abilities: Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks efficiently. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to pass clear instructions and understand feedback from staff.
