Shropshire Community Health NHS trust is commissioned to deliver a range of evidence based community based oral health improvement programmes as identified within the NHS England and Improvement specification. The Oral Health Improvement Service currently operates across Shropshire and Telford and Wrekin, Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent. The post holder will be expected to work collaboratively with colleagues across the whole area but will be based primarily in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent. Main duties of the job The service delivers a range of targeted evidence-based community oral health improvement programmes in key settings including supervised toothbrushing and care homes programmes. The team works closely with partners in health, education, social care and the voluntary sector to improve oral health and reduce inequalities in oral health. The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting the team in the delivery and monitoring of these projects, alongside other team colleagues in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin, under the guidance of the oral health improvement service lead. The team lead should have experience in partnership working, managing teams and planning and delivering oral health improvement programmes or similar programmes. However, training and support will be provided.
