Are you a dynamic dietitian, with experience in nutritional support and a desire to develop specialist skills? If so, this exciting Band 6 Specialist Dietitian post, in vibrant Manchester, could be for you! We are a friendly, energetic and expanding dietetic department at North Manchester General Hospital. We form part of a larger cross-Trust Dietetic Division alongside Manchester Royal Infirmary, Wythenshawe Hospital and Trafford General Hospital. To apply for this post, you must have a degree, postgraduate diploma or Master’s Degree in Dietetics and current HCPC registration Your caseload will be varied, comprising complex nutritional support and gastroenterology patients as well as colorectal surgery patients, both as in- and out-patients. This will include assessing and advising on parenteral nutrition, enteral nutrition and high stoma output patients. There will be plenty of scope for multidisciplinary working. You will have the opportunity to work within the specialities of Head & Neck and Critical Care alongside the band 7 dietitians. Your knowledge and skill progression are extremely valued, and the department actively encourages CPD activities, personal development and in-house training. You will have the opportunity to develop your clinical supervisory skills with dietetic students and junior staff. A flexible attitude with excellent communication and team working skills are essential along with a sound knowledge of nutrition support.
