The Trauma and Orthopaedic service at University College Hospital is a busy department, led by 20 consultants who specialise in a range of routine and complex elective and trauma work. As one of our valued Trauma and Orthopaedic juniors you will be supported by these consultants and a team of 14 registrars and 3 senior fellows. You must have some prior experience working as a Doctor in Trauma and Orthopaedics. We encourage applications from driven individuals who are medically qualified Doctors (equivalent to CT1/2) and passionate about a career in Orthopaedic Surgery. We have also advertised for a T&O Junior Clinical Fellow and Educational Fellow post. The post will deliver extensive experience in Trauma & Orthopaedic surgery including traumatic and non-traumatic orthopaedic conditions. The successful candidates will join the SHO on call rota with further timetabled operating and outpatient sessions to maximise clinical experience. In addition, there are ample academic, medical education and leadership opportunities. Daily Trauma multi-disciplinary meetings are held along with a range of MDT meetings with other departments. The department also runs a weekly SHO teaching programme.
