Band 7-8a dependent on experience up to 30 hours per week We are delighted to be looking for an enthusiastic, innovative and adaptable Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our thriving Staff Psychology Team at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust. This fixed term post forms part of the proactive offer for emotional wellbeing support provided to all our Trust colleagues. Some training or placement experience with staff patients in acute hospital settings would be desirable, along with familiarity of psychological assessment and formulation in health care, as well as planning and delivering psychological interventions to individuals and teams. An interest and some experience around training and teaching would be of benefit, but there will be many opportunities for ongoing development and support in key areas within this supportive team. The base will be in York, but travel across the Trust sites such as Scarborough, Bridlington, Malton and Selby will be required. The post holder will provide psychological input to individuals and teams through the provision of reflective practice, psychological skills training and consultation. There will be opportunities to lead various projects and service developments and to work with colleagues to deliver innovative staff wellbeing initiatives You will be supported by colleagues in the Staff Wellbeing Psychology Team, which includes our Consultant Psychology Lead, as well as the wider department of Psychological Medicine, which includes the provision of regular high quality clinical supervision and management support, alongside other forms of continuing professional development The post will involve providing individual psychological assessment, formulation and treatment to staff patients, and providing varied interventions to support staff teams throughout the Trust. The post holder will work alongside Staff Psychological Wellbeing colleagues to offer psychological insight and knowledge and advise non-psychology staff on psychological principles and psychological understanding.
