Give examples of how you would promote and deliver our service values which are Ambition, Belonging, Respected and Love Job Details This role involves a leadership & management role within our Residential Houses, providing support to children, young people and young adults The successful candidate will be expected to oversee all leadership and management tasks within a house, including, provision of supervision, oversight of rota, attending professional meetings, overseeing care plan, chairing team meetings, financial responsibilities, health & safety management, medication audits and attendance management oversight The successful candidate will be expected to ensure young people are supported by a team who provide a warm, nurturing and stimulating environment for young people in their care. The successful candidate will be expected to ensure their team provide appropriate levels of supervision and emotional attunement to young people, making themselves available to young people at times of need. The successful candidate will be expected to work with young people to support them to manage risk. The successful candidate will be expected to see beyond presenting behaviours and to demonstrate compassion and empathy. Maintain accurate records and documentation as required. The Person Significant experience of working with young people who have experienced adverse childhood experiences. Significant experience of working in a residential childcare environment. In depth understanding of the concepts and principles of attachment promoting & trauma informed care. Significant experience of leading staff teams within a residential childcare environment. Educated to at least SCQF Level 8, which includes HND, SVQ Level 4 (Children & Young People) or Diploma/Degree in Social Work, Masters in Advanced Residential Childcare. A full driving licence is ideally preferred, or a willingness to travel throughout Fife using public transport. Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme. As this role requires SSSC registration, the successful applicant will have three months to apply for registration. If appointed, you must start your application as soon as possible so you're registered within the required six months.
