Ward 9 has a SDEC area, a 24 hour trolley bay and a 9 bedded 72 hour Surgical Assessment Unit. The successful candidate will work under the direct supervision of the registered nurse and will be expected to undertake fundamental aspects of patient care including undertaking patient’s vital signs. An opportunity has arisen for Healthcare Support Workers to work as part of the clinical team within the ward 9 team. The successful candidate will work under the direct supervision of the registered nurse and will be expected to undertake fundamental aspects of patient care including undertaking patient’s vital signs. The individual will be required to have good communication skills to be able to relate to patients, members of patients families and the multidisciplinary team that work within the clinical area. Informal visits are encouraged. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
