You will be working as part of our passionate multi-disciplinary team and identify and deliver appropriate therapies to the population of the prison. You will understand the stepped care model and use this to sign-post, refer and discharge to other agencies and teams. The post holder will be responsible for providing psychological wellbeing practitioner services to adult, male service users who are in custody within HMP Buckley Hall. This will be delivered individually and via groups. The IMHT comprises of multi-disciplinary professional’s, including Mental health Nurses, a Psychiatrist, a Psychologist, an assistant psychologist, and health care support workers, all providing mental health support to males across the prison estate. The post holder would be expected to work with a caseload of clients providing detailed assessments and psychological therapy, often spanning several months. As a Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner the role may also incorporate the clinical supervision and support of PWP staff and/or health and well-being staff and will work closely with the practitioner psychologist/s and/or high intensity therapists in the service. The post holder will be expected to contribute to training on a multi-disciplinary basis. The post holder will participate in clinical audit and service development within the remit of the post. The post holder will work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the service's policies and procedures. The post holder will receive clinical supervision in line with current trust policy by an appropriate registered health professional likely a high intensity therapist/clinical psychologist.
