Based in the Department of Laboratory Medicine, but working at the Edinburgh Bioquarter site, this role will support the POCT Manager with an increasing number of POCT activities across Lothian. The POCT team in Lothian supports an estimated 7000 users and equipment across 3 acute hospitals 7 non acute and 80 GP surgeries. The Post Duties Will Include Answering enquiries by phone and email regarding POCT related issues. Maintaining and updating the POCT databases for trained staff. Relay information to the POCT team in relation to troubleshooting and training requirements. Ordering of stock as requested by POCT users. Supporting the POCT manager to improve development and governance of POCT systems. Good communication skills are vital, proficiency with Microsoft word, Excel and PowerPoint would be advantageous. Full time 37 hours per week. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.
