The duties of the post meet the requirements of the CT3 Equivalent (Stage 1 'top up') posts as detailed by the Royal College of Anaesthetists. The 2021 RCoA Anaesthetics curriculum will be followed. The duties will include pre, peri and post-operative management of surgical patients, assisting with the care of the patients on the ICU, and provision of assistance with resuscitation calls. This post will offer training opportunities as per the Royal College of Anaesthetists training guidance and applicants who successfully complete the year will be awarded a stage 1 evidence certificate.
