Descripción The Department of Romance Languages and Literatures seeks applications for a preceptor in Spanish language. The appointment is expected to begin on July 1, 2025. The preceptor will assist in the training and supervision of teaching fellows and normally teach two beginning language courses in Spanish per semester. This is a three-year appointment, pending first year review, renewable for a term of up to five additional years (for a total of eight years), and contingent on performance, enrollments, curricular need, position availability, and divisional dean authorization. Requisitos Basic Qualifications The successful applicant should have native or near native proficiency in Spanish, be well versed in Spanish pedagogy as a foreign language, have experience in curriculum design and teaching all levels of Spanish, and be able to teach and coordinate beginning-level Spanish language courses. Additional Qualifications A specialization in Spanish pedagogy and/or second language acquisition and experience in the application of new technologies in language teaching is preferred along with a strong doctoral record. Administrative and teaching experience in a Harvard language program is highly desirable.
