PERSON SPECIFICATION Qualifications and certification: Qualifications at SCQF Level 8-9 (e.g. HND, Technical Apprenticeship, SVQ, Bachelor/Ordinary degree, Graduate Diploma) or equivalent in supply chain management or a business-related discipline. Proven relevant work experience at a comparable level may be accepted in the absence of formal qualifications at this level. Knowledge: Knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, workshop and project demands for fast paced environment. Would be advantageous to have had experience with reading drawings to identify parts required. Skills & Competencies: Effective communication skills (written and oral). Strong task management skills. Good attention to detail. Competency in MS Office (particularly Excel) and Teams. Negotiation skills. Have self-discipline, motivation, the ability to organise your workload and overcome problems as they arise. Experience: Experience in a manufacturing and engineering environment is preferred. Experience in purchasing and vendor management is preferred. Personal qualities: Enthusiastic, committed and a fast learner with previous experience in a fast-paced environment.
