This is a great opportunity to gain and develop experience of managing a busy service, operationally, financially and strategically with the support of the Directorate Senior Leadership Group. In this role, you will take day to day general management responsibility for the operational running of the services, providing exemplary leadership to staff and ensuring national and local targets are achieved and exceeded whilst ensuring our services meet the diverse needs of the population that we serve. For this role, we are looking for an exceptional candidate with a significant level of experience and the ability to manage a busy operational role whilst undertaking service delivery and performance responsibilities. This post will be based at Kaleidoscope, the award winning Lewisham Centre for Children and Young People but may also be required to work from other Lewisham CAMHS bases. Supportive arrangements for working from home are in place. Job Purpose General management responsibility for the SLaM mental health service for children and young people and their families within Lewisham. To provide consistently skilled clinical judgements in clinical work with own patients and those of other staff within the service. Lead a management team of senior clinical staff responsible for the modernisation programme of CAMHS provided by SLaM in accordance with NHS national plans, priorities and targets, the interagency strategic plans and local delivery plans. Report, through the Director and Deputy Director, CAMHS to the CCG, and SSD commissioners on financial matters.
