We are excited to offer an opportunity for a dedicated and experienced Nurse to join the new Alcohol Care Team at Newham Hospital. In this role, you will contribute to delivering a comprehensive treatment service for adult patients with alcohol use disorders and dependence. Assess, plan and implement care for alcohol dependent patients with complex needs, escalating necessary adjustments to the appropriate senior members of staff. Identify patients at high risk from their alcohol use using the AUDIT assessment and take appropriate action in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. Deliver evidence-based interventions, including motivational interviewing and withdrawal management, to support patients in reducing alcohol-related harm. Educate patients and families about healthy lifestyles and managing risks to health and well-being. Ensure accurate, up-to-date documentation using electronic health records and maintain compliance with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
