An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 OT to join our Integrated Children's Additional Needs (ICAN) Service. We provide outcome-oriented, child and family-centred assessment and interventions to children in Leeds. The post includes working as part of the multi-disciplinary team (Physiotherapists, Speech therapists, Health Visitors, Paediatricians and Therapy assistants) providing assessment and intervention to children aged 0-19 with a range of health needs including developmental delay, complex physical disabilities, sensory differences and Autism. You will have opportunities to work with children in clinical and home settings, nurseries and mainstream schools with some opportunities in the Specialist Inclusive Learning Centres. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills through clinical competencies, regular supervision, internal/external training and preceptorship programme. A UK driving licence and car with business use is needed. You will: Hold an independent caseload, carrying out clinical assessments: telephone and face to face consultations. Set collaborative goals with children, families and other relevant professionals. Assess for a range of equipment including seating, bathing, toileting and moving and handling Provide support to schools including contributing to Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs) delegate pieces of work to our OT support worker and support students on placement within the team be an active participation in service development.
