The South Lakes CMHT provides assessment and intervention to individuals with complex mental health needs. The service works closely with service users, their families and other agencies and mental health services. An interest in working with individuals with complex presentations will be essential, as are skills in working within a multidisciplinary framework. The post is focused on providing a balance of direct and indirect work. With time dedicated to providing individual assessment, formulation and short term intervention to service users. There is also an expectation that the role will also encompass service development, training and consultation work with other professionals. The post will sit as part of a team of psychologists working within The Bay Network, and the successful applicant will be welcomed as part of a service which encourages the development of specific interests. It is hoped that the applicant would be keen to undergo further clinical training to develop the therapeutic portfolio of the wider service, in line with their own preferred models.
