To work independently and be accountable for organising/prioritising own workload to ensure deadlines are achieved. To support the facilitation of the patients along a defined pathway. Applications are invited for the post of Medical Secretary. The post holder will provide an efficient administration service to support the Medical Secretary team within Medicine. It is essential that the applicant holds the relevant qualifications as per the person specification, previous medical secretarial experience would be desirable, a high level of audio typing skills, excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office and a good telephone manner. Experience of working in a busy office environment is desirable. The successful candidate will join and contribute to a dynamic and busy Medical Team. The role will be working closely with Consultants and their juniors as well as liaising closely with other members of the team supporting the delivery of high quality patient care. The post is a total of 28 hours per week - working pattern to be agreed. You must have the ability to work as part of a team as well as independently; using your initiative to contribute to the smooth running of this busy area. The post holder must have the ability to manage their workload efficiently and effectively. Candidates must be able to maintain patient confidentiality and ensure a high standard of customer care at all times. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
